The objectives of the Foundation were agreed upon at our very first meeting on December 1st 2005, and the basic principles and the structure of the organization were put into place. This is our first full year of being active and what a wonderful year it has been.

Because of the generosity of the public we have been able to raise enough funds this year to make substantial donations to Riding for the Disabled, an organization whose aims are very similar to ours. They help to provide exercise, fun and stimulation, through horse riding, to children with special needs.

We have also been able to provide much needed equipment for individual children, days out for local groups and toys for special needs schools. Our aims for the next year are to be able to reach more children and offer them a wider variety of stimulating and enjoyable pursuits.

One group of children we intend to help is children with terminal illnesses. Many children in these circumstances often express a desire to fly we would like to help these children by taking them on flights. One of our trustees has a light aircraft, which will take children with special needs and their carers on short air trips. With the help of donations we hope this will become a regular item on our calendar.
